About
My name is Charles Thompson and I have been plumbing for over 16 years. I started learning the trade with my cousin who has been plumbing since the early 80's doing residential service work in Oklahoma.
After working with him I joined the Plumber's and Pipefitters Union Local 344 and started taking plumbing classes in the evening and doing commercial plumbing during the day.
Because of my association with the union, I learned many aspects of plumbing many plumbers never get the chance to learn.
It is a long drawn out story about how I got to Tampa, but it involves love, loss, a great church and a few hurricanes. Ask me about it at your peril, I am a bit of a talker.
In January 2021, I started Plumbgreat Plumbing.

Why Should You Choose Me?
* I will be doing your plumbing work personally. You will not be getting some kid who just learned to shut off your water.
* Because I am personally licensed. Florida is an odd state in that it only requires the owner to maintain a license. There is no verification of knowledge or competence by anyone but the owner.
* Because I am licensed it means I passed a background check and credit check as well as a very strenuous test of my general plumbing knowledge. The state of Florida has verified me personally.
* I am a very competent plumber. I don't know everything about plumbing, but I am in constant study and hold many accreditations that the average plumber does not carry. I also spent 4 years in a trade school learning my craft.
* This is just a personal preference of mine, but I don't smoke or have tattoos on my face so I won't reek of cigarette smoke or scare your neighbors.
